I have a 2 year premium membership, and there's so many deviants out there who deserve some love, so I'm dedicating this account for featuring and promoting other deviants. I will try my best to update this account and do my best to elevate other deviants.

I......used to be an art thief....
I am posting this in DA because I want to let art thieves know about this....
(you can scroll down to the very end if you don't want to read this text wall)
I think it was around 4 years ago, when I was in sixth grade...when I started stealing art....
I mean when I was a kid, I would draw crap and people would think it's amazing...(even though I myself thought it was crap)...my sister was wayyyy ahead of me. She already developed basic techniques that an artist should, she's excellent in choosing colors, and I myself thought that her art was better than mine.
When I was in 5th grade, I met
....she also colored and drew better than I did...which made me more anxious. Then, when our friendship flourished, she introduced her family to us. MANNNNNNN all her siblings r amazing......especially 
.......i felt such tensions when it comes to art...then, they introduced me and my sister to DA....now, i thought that i was a little speck among artists.....i sooooooooooo didn't have a chance at all.....btw my acc at the time was 
...such embarassing crap I had there....I saw how my friends can also CG at such a young age....i was all like "DADDDDDDDDDDD CAN I HAV YOUR OLD PHOTOSHOP AND TABLET????"
seeing how i craved to improve, he agreed (i'm still using the same program that i've had before...)
I was so fascinated by digital art....however, i grew quite impatient. I wanted to improve and catch up to my friends and sister immediately so I started claiming art that didn't belong to me...
was my thief account....I don't remember the password so I can't go in there and delete it (btw, you can report it if u want)....i got confronted by soo many people so, of course i was a coward, i just made a new account and left it.at the time, it was my freshman year in middle school. For the second semester, i was moved into computer lab while my sister
and were in an art class...I didn't steal art anymore but i became more and more anxious....i wasn't serious about art at the time but
and my sister were...Then, I had the same history class as
...however she also had the same film class with 
...i remembered that the first time me and brianna met was when asked me if i had a smaller folder because needed one....I agreed and she gave me an awesome lime green folder (which I still have)...In seventh grade, me and brianna had the same PE class so we became closer. She is really good at coloring and drawing, too! That's when I became serious about art. My account at that time was
....she gave me soooo much help and inspiration! (and that's the time where i started collecting my work...not throwing them away)I was kinda serious about art now...but still not as serious....and still not as good.....
Through 8th grade,
had to graduate and now she was gone.....lol i thought "haha one competitor less" roflzbut then, I met melanie....she was sooooooo serious about art....everyone still outraced me....even worst, my art teacher chose my sister's art for the mural.....
so me, melanie,
, worked on my sister's cute muralI started drawing boys at the time....but that was the most unproductive year in my life ORZ i tested out watercolors and more photoshop and only gained more crap...
before the last months of graduation, i made a picture of all my OCs lying in the grass....since i didn't know how to color, i asked each of my friends to color a character. That was when the sparks of competition started....
At summer, i constantly studied drawing/ coloring tutorials in DA...
I started to become very serious in art..i even stayed up till 3-4 AM just working my butt off....I couldn't afford any good colored pencils so I used some crayola twistables...
this was when i made this account
Around 2010, I was enrolled to a private school...I didn't have enough time to draw...which gave me tons and tons of inspiration (btw, i never became a newbie at some high school because my school reached up to 9th grade...so i graduated twice!)
my teachers asked me to draw stuff, though..so i guess i still had practice...I improved soooo much when I went to that school....I also started this one-man project (which i will never tell you what it is) which helped me changed my drawing style....
I bought one volume of my favorite mangas and imitated its art style
the mangas that influenced me the most was vampire knight, hunter x hunter, naruto, death note....and blah
Basically, my style before was a mix of all of them, plus my own style
It will really help if you copy the art style that you want to imitate the most (but you can tweak it in your own style if you want)
I'm still doing that now...Also, i started to experiment more with colors.
Through the summer, same old thing....
then, i was homeschooled. which is now my sophomore year in high school...since i was in the computer most of the time, i decided to understand more about digital art.
I read the tutorials carefully (and i still am) and i apply it to how i use it....
Then, I also started animating!
I constantly tried out new art styles (some of you might think that i still steal art because a lot of what i make is soooo different)
I tried lineart-less coloring style...cell shading, soft cell-shading, pixel art, animating....idk i just want to experiment with all of them
Now, i'm trying to know how to use each tool in the same program that I used before which is adobe photoshop 7.0 and adobe imageready. I think I already know 70% of the things there lol....i hope to be completely familiar with it in the future.
SO yeahhh <end of rant>....this was what makes me what I am now...sure, it was shameful....but that was what pushed me to improve
for you art thieves, stealing art won't make you better at drawing....make your own stuff and improve! quit stealing and spend 4 years of your life or more if you really want to improve.

I stole art because i was jealous of my friends. I gave up stealing 4 years ago and decided to make my own stuff. At least my work is better than it was 4 years ago....you should do the same.
lol i hope this inspires other people lolz and i will forever carry this shame with me forever
